MMX-7 Firmware
Welcome to the Dakota NDT's firmware upgrade area. The downloads listed below include both bug fixes and product enhancements. The flash programmer for the older serial gauges is integrated into our DakView utility software and needed to upgrade your gauge. The USB-C gauges will not require our DakView utility software for programming. For the serial gauges, simply download our latest version of DakView to your desktop, download the firmware file to your desktop, install the PC software on your computer, and follow the instructions on ‘how to flash’ located in the ‘Help’ menu in our DakView software. For the USB-C gauges, save the firmware file on your desktop, open the SD card directory and copy the file to the SD card. The upgrade can be initiated from the XFER menu in the gauge. Certainly feel free to contact Dakota NDT with any questions you may have regarding the upgrade process. A MAC OSX version of DakView is also available for download.
Update your gauge
Version 1.xx
Version 1.xx can only be used to upgrade existing MMX-7 gauges currently programmed with version 1.xx firmware. Gauges programmed with version 1.xx firmware are equipped with our original processor.
Version 3.xx
Version 3.xx can only be used to upgrade existing MMX-7 gauges currently programmed with version 3.xx firmware. Gauges programmed with version 3.xx firmware are equipped with our new processor.
USB Only
USB Only – Version 3.xx can only be used to upgrade MMX-7 USB-C gauges currently programmed with version 3.xx firmware.
Note:
Be sure to check the version number currently programmed in your gauge, in order to make sure you’re downloading and installing the firmware that will allow your gauge to function properly. You can check your version in the XFER menu of the gauge. The version will be listed to the right of the ABOUT menu item. Versions cannot be interchanged. Therefore, if you have a gauge with version 1.12 version 3.14 cannot be used.
