In September 2023, The British Institute of Non-Destructive Testing (BINDT) held a conference in Northampton, UK.

Ben Andrew, Dakota NDT’s Customer Support Engineer, was named the 2023 NDT Operator of the Year! Following the successful completion of his apprenticeship with Dakota NDT excellent End-Point Assessment, Ben has really earned this Industry Award.

Ben, who has a strong educational background in Math, Physics, and Programming, joined the organisation in 2021. In the field of UT, Ben passed his PCN Level 2 UT Weld Inspection exams through Lavender International in 2023 with a distinction grade. His areas of interest are bolt tension measurement and finding novel applications for ultrasonic A-scan equipment.

In addition to providing technical support, Ben also creates instructional articles and guides. Some of which have been published by trade magazines such as Surface World and ASNT Pulse.
